Terms & Conditions

Effective 7 September 2026 · Last updated 7 September 2026
English version governs. These terms are a binding contract under Indian law.

Agreement The service Accounts Trial, fees, GST Cancel & refunds Your data Acceptable use GST disclaimer AI & hardware Liability Governing law

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern access to Dhando POS websites, the progressive web app, and related support (the “Service”). By registering, starting a trial, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you use Dhando POS for a shop or company, you confirm you have authority to bind that business. “You” means both the individual user and that business.

1. Agreement

The Service is offered by Dhando POS. We may refuse, suspend or close an account that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms, is used for fraud, or creates risk for other users or for us.

The Service is for business use in India. You must be 18 or older.

2. The service

Dhando POS is software for GST billing, stock, udhaar, printing, reports and related shop operations. It runs in a browser and can be added to the home screen. It is not a chartered accountant, not a GST practitioner, and not a bank.

Features depend on your plan, permissions, device, printer and network. We may add, change or retire features with notice where the change is material. Offline mode needs storage on the device; unsynced bills can be lost if the browser data is cleared before sync.

We aim for high availability but do not promise uninterrupted uptime, and we do not offer a service-credit SLA unless we sign a separate written agreement with you.

3. Accounts and access

  • Keep usernames and passwords secret. You are responsible for activity under your login, including staff you invite.
  • Give us accurate business details (name, GSTIN if you use one, contact).
  • Plans that include extra users are limited to the licensed count. Sharing one login across shops to dodge a plan is not allowed.
  • Tell us promptly if you think an account is compromised.

4. Trial, fees and GST on our invoice

New accounts may use a 7-day free trial without a card, unless we state otherwise at sign-up. When the trial ends, paid features require an active subscription.

Current list prices are on the pricing section (for example UltraLight ₹499/month for 1 user, ₹599/month for 3 users, with yearly options). We may change prices for a renewal period with prior notice. A period you have already paid for is not repriced mid-term.

Fees are in Indian Rupees. Applicable GST on our subscription invoice will be charged as required by law. You must pay gateway charges if the processor adds them.

Failed or overdue payment can pause the account. We may keep a copy of your data for a limited time so you can settle and restore access.

5. Cancellation and refunds

  • Cancel any time from the app or by writing to contact@dhandopos.in. Cancellation stops the next renewal.
  • You keep access until the end of the period already paid, unless we terminate for breach.
  • The trial is free. We do not refund unused trial days in cash.
  • Paid subscriptions are generally non-refundable once a period has started, including unused days, unused user seats, or change of mind.
  • We will refund or reverse: duplicate charges, amounts we billed in obvious error, or fees for a period in which we never provisioned the Service.
  • Statutory rights you have under Indian consumer or contract law still apply. If a mandatory rule requires a refund, we will follow it.

Hardware (printers, paper, labels) sold by us or a partner, if any, follows the warranty and return rules stated on that invoice — not this software refund clause.

6. Your data

You own the business data you enter (products, invoices, contacts, stock). You grant us a limited licence to host, back up, transmit and display that data solely to provide the Service, including offline sync and support.

You must not upload data you do not have the right to process. You are responsible for taking exports of records you need for GST, audits or your own backups. After an account is closed we may delete or anonymise data after the retention period in the Privacy Policy, except where law requires us to keep it.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break Indian law, including tax evasion, fake invoicing, or storing illegal content.
  • Probe, overload or reverse-engineer the Service except as allowed by law.
  • Resell the Service, scrape it, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Upload malware, or attempt to access another shop’s data.
  • Use AI import on documents that are not your supplier bills.
  • Send WhatsApp or SMS through the product in a way that violates telecom or messaging-platform rules, or spam people who did not deal with your shop.

8. GST, accounts and professional advice

Dhando POS calculates CGST, SGST and IGST from the rates and HSN you configure. It does not file GSTR-1 or GSTR-3B for you, and it does not replace a GST practitioner or chartered accountant. You remain solely responsible for tax invoices, e-invoicing where applicable, e-way bills, returns, TDS/TCS and the accuracy of figures you submit to the GST portal or your CA.

Reports (P&L, trial balance, cash register) are management tools. They are not audited financial statements.

9. AI features, printers and third parties

AI purchase import reads text from photos you provide. Results can be wrong. You must check quantities, rates and GST before you confirm a purchase. We are not liable for stock or tax mistakes that follow an unchecked import.

Printers (Bluetooth, USB, serial, label printers) are made by third parties. Compatibility depends on the device, OS permissions and the printer firmware. We do not warrant that every model sold in India will pair or print.

WhatsApp, UPI apps, payment gateways and hosting providers have their own terms. Outages on those networks are outside our control.

10. Intellectual property

The Dhando name, logo, app, design and documentation are ours (or our licensors’). You may not copy them except as needed to use the Service. Feedback you send may be used to improve the product without paying you.

11. Availability and support

Support is offered on published hours (currently Mon–Sat, 10:00–19:00 IST) via phone, email and WhatsApp. We try to reply quickly; we do not guarantee a response time unless a separate agreement says so.

Scheduled maintenance will be announced when practical. Emergency maintenance may happen without notice.

12. Liability and indemnity

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent Indian law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

We are not liable for lost profits, lost stock, tax penalties, printer failure, unpaid udhaar, or data loss caused by clearing the phone browser, a device reset, or your failure to sync.

Our total liability for all claims in a year is capped at the subscription fees you actually paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This cap does not limit liability that Indian law says cannot be limited (for example, fraud or personal injury caused by negligence, where such a rule applies).

You will indemnify us against claims that arise from your invoices, your GST filings, your content, your staff’s misuse of the account, or your breach of these Terms.

13. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate if you do not pay, if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the product (with reasonable notice where we can).

On termination, your licence ends. We may provide a reasonable window to export data if the account was in good standing.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts of competent jurisdiction in India shall have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection venue rules that apply to you.

Before filing a case, write to contact@dhandopos.in and allow 15 days for a good-faith resolution.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The new version applies from the date posted, or a later date we state. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel before the next billing date. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance of the update.
